Yodyut Muaythai, Koh Samui was opened in  January 2014 with an aim to providing excellent muaythai training for everyone. The gym is the newest training camp on the island specialising in muaythai. The gym is spacious and clean and has a large matted area, an assortment of bags, 2 full sized rings, an onsite shop and restaurant and hot shower facilities. At the gym there are 7 full time Thai trainers all of whom are also experienced fighters with a lot of knowledge of the sport. The trainers work hard to ensure that you get the most out of each training session,encouraging and supporting you. Muaythai is a large part of Thailand’s history and culture and it is the job of the trainers to help you to not only learn the moves and techniques but also to understand the sport. For students wishing to fight, the trainers will push you in every training session until you are ready to step in to the ring. Fights can be arranged easily at one of the local stadiums.
 
 The gym is located in a peaceful corner of the island and is easily accessible from the airport and Samui’s main resort of Chaweng. Training is open to everyone from the complete novice to the professional fighter, from children to adults. Whether you want to get fit, meet new people, or train for a fight, we can help. With a friendly family atmosphere everyone is sure to feel welcome here.
 
There are 2 types of training at Yodyut Muaythai; Group training and Private training.
 
Group training
 
Group training takes place Monday- Saturday, with 2 classes a day. Morning 8 am-10 am and Afternoon 4.30pm- 6.30pm. Group training is open to everyone. Each training sessions consists of: warm up (either skipping or running), shadow boxing, pad work with trainer, bag work, technique practise, boxing or Thai sparring, clinching and strength and conditioning work. Those here training as fighters are expected to run before every every training session. Sparring is optional especially for beginners.
 
Private training.
 
Private training is available 7 days a week between 10 am and 4 pm (evening training can also be arranged after 7 pm), they should be booked at least 1 day in advance to avoid disappointment. Private lessons give you the chance to work closely with your trainer, and focusing on your training. They are great if you really want to concentrate, have a particular skill that you want to work on or want to be really tested before a fight. Private lessons are also a great way for beginners to learn the basics and gain confidence before joining the group classes.
