Capoeira Camp

In contrast to a regular Capoeira training event or a weekend workshop or Batizado, this event offers a 7 day itinerary which focuses on exploring the many aspects of Capoeira in a relaxed, informal, retreat-like holiday setting.

With this in mind, together with the Capoeira training, other activities are combined in the itinerary including hiking, trips to waterfalls or to visit the monastery of St.Francis, and many other spontaneous events.

 

There are two Capoeira classes each day with rodas in the evening depending on the group energy. All classes are taught in a personal timeless environment by world-class Capoeira teachers from Group Cordao De Ouro.

 

One of the most unique things about this camp is the rare opportunity to live in such close contact with such experienced Capoeira teachers. This allows the learning of Capoeira to go beyond the boundaries of the classes and into every moment spent with the teacher during your time at the camp.

Throughout the 7 days all aspects of Capoeira are explored; berimbau playing, drumming, singing, acrobatics, ritual, history, Capoeira etica, etc.

Another special thing about this camp is the ability to experience the community aspect of Capoeira. For a short time you are immersed in a temporary commune of Capoeiristas all sharing a desire to learn and develop their growing passion for Capoeira. For beginners it is a perfect environment to be introduced to the benefits of Capoeira and to learn the foundations of this multi-layered art form.

 

There are many reasons for coming to the camp, but whatever they may be, one common experience unites everyone who comes: this is a place simply to enjoy your health, your life and the people around you! We offer the following options. For all options you need to bring your own sleeping bag. We can provide mattress and sheet only.

Option 1 - Camping with own tent 

Option 2 - Bed in a shared bedroom of up to 5 people

Option 3 - Barn floor on gym mats or sleeping under the stars

Please mention your preferred option when making your bookings. Space in the bedrooms is limited so beds are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
