Instructions for Tai No Henko - Aikido Technique - Section supported by Aikido books

Tai No Henko is an Aikido exercise that teaches the basics for redirecting an attack. Redirection is used in many Aikido techniques thus Tai No Henko is an important lesson for beginners. Tai No Henko means "body change" or "body change direction".

Moreover, according to Traditional Aikido of Sonoma, "O'Sensei once said that a student could learn all the basics of aikido if he practiced just three techniques: tai-no-henko, morotedori-kokyuho, and suwariwaza-kokyuho".
