With them (clockwise starting from the north) adjoin the province of Phang Nga and Krabi . Because of Phuket - it is also the island of the same name, it has no land borders with them.
Phuket is located on the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean . Phuket leads the list of the largest island of Thailand. On the mainland the island kingdom connected by three bridges. Earlier, the prosperity of Phuket, which has a rich and colorful history, was based on the extraction of tin and rubber . And because he was one of the major trading routes between India and China , it is constantly mentioned in the ship logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch and English merchants. Today, the province most of their income received due to the huge popularity of the island as a tourist beach resort.

Thai Boxing & MMA Training Camps In Phuket

Muay Thai (aka Thai Boxing) is a physical and mental discipline which is also known as ‘the art of eight limbs’ due to its combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet. It’s a tough sport that requires a lot of physical preparation and a full-on top-level fight is a veritable maze of feints, thrusts, maneuvers and full on head-bashing.

Even though the discipline has been around since the sixteenth century, it only began to be noticed in the west when Thai Muay Thai fighters won victories over fighters in more established combat sports. Lately though, the number of people coming to Thailand to toughen up and get in the Muay Thai ring has exploded. Predominantly located in the south of the island, here are some of Phuket’s top Muay Thai schools.
