Dynamic Warm-Up Exercises & Stretches for Martial Arts Training

These videos cover a variety of dynamic warm-up exercises and stretching routines. Dynamic warm-up routines utilize a variety of dynamic stretches in order to loosen up muscles & tendons. In addition, dynamic warm-ups help martial arts students to slowly "ramp-up" and get physically ready for the more vigorous exercise conducted during martial arts training.

In contrast to traditional static stretches, dynamic stretches involve smooth and steady movement within a natural range of motion in order to warm-up muscles and tendons. These are not ballistic stretches. Dynamic stretches and warm-up exercises include Ankle Bounces, High Knees, Lateral Jumps, Leg Swings, etc.

All stretches should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
