Laamb - African Martial Arts Style

Laamb is a Senegalese martial arts that combines wrestling and punching. This martial arts has become very popular in Senegal and often rivals the huge popularity of soccer.

Given this popularity, top Laamb participants can earn huge paydays despite Senegal's relative poverty. According to the New York Times, "Today, the going rate is $100,000 for top-tier matches, not including the sideshows"… but the "vast majority will earn less than $2,000 in the ring, and many will earn nothing".
