List of Kung Fu & Chinese Martial Arts Weapons

This page provides details on a variety of traditional Kung Fu and Chinese martial arts weapons such as the Jian (sword), Jiu Jie Bian (chain whip) and Liu Xing Chui (meteor hammer). There are a huge variety of Kung Fu styles. Some styles do not use any weapons whereas others specialize in weapons training.

Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Weapons

• Bi Shou - Daggers
• Da Mo - Cane or walking stick
• Dao - Chinese saber
• Fu - Battle axe
• Gan - Cudgel
• Gun - Staff
• Hu Cha - "Tiger Fork" or "Hunting Tiger Trident"
• Iron Flute
• Ji - Halberd
• Jian - Straight sword used in Chinese martial arts such as Wushu and Tai Chi.
• Jiu Jie Bian - Jiu Jie Bian is a Chinese "chain whip" weapon.
• Kwan Dao - The Kwan Dao (Guan Dao) is a heavy Chinese pole-based weapon with a "sword" at the top.
• Liu Xing Chui (or Meteor Hammer) - The Meteor Hammer is a traditional Chinese weapon consisting of iron balls on a chain.
• Lujiao Dao - "Deer Horn Knives" or "Duck Blades"
• Pu Dao - "Horse Cutter Sword"
• Qiang - Chinese spear
• Sanjiegun - Wushhu three section staff
• Shaolin Spade - This Chinese weapon is also known as Yue Ya Chan and Chan Zhang.
• Shaolin Thorn
• Shuang Chui - Double hammers
• Shuang Dao - Double sabers or swords
• Shuang Fu - Double axes
• Shuang Gou - Chinese hook swords
• Shuang Qiang - Double spears
• Sheng Biao - Chinese rope dart
