The Protector - Martial Arts Movie

"The Protector" is a 2005 martial arts film featuring Tony Jaa of Ong Bak fame. In this movie, Tony Jaa is a guard for Thailand's war elephants. However, this does not take place hundreds of years ago but in modern times and in Australia.

Rotten Tomatoes, the film review website, states "The Protector" has "some impressive fight scenes" but "this trimmed-down version of the Thai action pic is an off-putting mix of scant plot, choppy editing, and confusing subtitles and dubbing." They rate it a 54 out of 100. However, audiences give it a much higher rating.
