Systema Slide (arms first)

This page provides details on the Systema Slide (Arms First) technique.

Sliding with your arms first is better psychological and physical training than sliding with your legs first, however it is also one of the most dangerous of the low acrobatics. It is one of the few movements that can only be practiced quickly and must be done correctly for safety purposes. You should keep this in mind when you practice this technique. This is not to say that you should be apprehensive; this would make almost certain you injure yourself. Just be sure to respect the ground and respect your body and you will be successful. Start with a smooth, hard surface or a mat.
