Instructions for the Stomach Vacuum - Martial Arts Core Strength Exercise

This page will teach you how to do the Stomach Vacuum. This exercise will improve your core strength and thus help your martial arts kicking power, punching power and grappling techniques. This is also called the Abdominal Draw-In Exercise.

This isometric exercise is performed by simply breathing out, tightening your stomach muscles and then relaxing. You can do this exercise standing, kneeling or lying down on the ground. This is a great exercise to do while sitting at your desk in the office!
