Instructions for the Sitting Single Leg Hamstring Stretch - Martial Arts Stretch

This page provides details for the Sitting Single Leg Hamstring Stretch. This stretch helps to stretch your hamstrings, groin and hips. Moreover, it will help to improve your kicking flexibility. In this stretch, you will sit on the ground with your legs in front of you. You will tuck one leg into your groin and slowly reach for the toes on the leg that remains straight out. Switch legs and repeat. Try to hold stretch for at least 30 seconds. Be careful not to over stretch.

All stretches should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
