Learn Karate's Kin Geri (or Groin Kick)

This page focuses on how to do a Kin Geri (or Karate Groin Kick). The Kin Geri is a standard self-defense kick. Kin Geri, is used as a fast kick to the groin area but it can also target the inner thighs.

Instrutions

  • First off with any movement is the change of block. With this kick, it does not need to be as powerful as usual. However, it should be enough to push the shoulders back of the attacker. This will open up the target area.
  • Raise back leg with toes pointed down with the knee bent.
  • Flick the leg out and connect to target area.
  • Pull kick back and place to become front leg.
