Instructions for the Hapkido Armbar Over

In Hapkido, one type of elbow lock is the armbar over. In an armbar over, the arm is straightened with the elbow facing up and pressure is applied to the joint through placing a fulcrum (hand, shoulder, leg, weapon, etc) between the elbow and the shoulder. To provide more tension in the arm the wrist is usually bent back towards the elbow. The video below demonstrates a variety of Hapkido arm bars.
