Nage No Kata Yon - Ashihara Karate "Throwing" Kata

This page provides details for Nage No Kata Yon, a kata used in Ashihara Karate. This kata is focused on throws (i.e. using a grappling technique to throw an opponent over a student's hip). Kata allows Ashihara Karate students to practice martial arts techniques without a partner and to practice dangerous techniques without injuring a partner. Ashihara is a full contact Karate style.
